Naphazoline nasal drops (0,5‰) are decongestant, which means that they relieve the symptoms of stuffy nose and increased secretions. Naphazoline hydrochloride narrows dilated blood vessels in the nasal mucosa. By reducing the blood flow, the swelling and secretion of the nasal mucosa decreases, the patency of the nasal cavities increases and it is easier to drain secretions from the sinuses. The effect of naphazoline nasal drops 0,5‰ occurs quickly, within 5 minutes from dropping into the nose and lasts for 2 to 6 hours.
Naphazoline nasal drops (1‰) are used for:
– Acute and chronic rhinitis
– Rhinosinusitis
– Inflammation of the middle ear in combination with a cold
– Nosebleeds
– Preparation for rhinological examination

If not prescribed otherwise by doctor, instill 1-2 drops of the solution into child’s both nostrils at intervals of 6 hours, for a maximum of 3-5 days continuously.
